When asked why she wanted to be involved with the Roybal Center: "I felt alone when I found out that a loved one suffered from dementia after they died, and I do not want others to feel alone or that they have nowhere to go. I still think of all things I did not do or say that I wish I had done if I had known. I want to help others do what I couldn't. Also, I want to contribute to the type of research and studies that add to more impactful solutions and remedies for those dealing with dementia, along with their loved ones. Science is rapidly advancing, not declining, to the point where anything is literally possible. "I am a dreamer, and I think I can save everyone," to quote Scarface on his song with Tupac, but I think when you get with passionate like-minded individuals, anything is possible, and only great things are yet to come. That is why I am very proud and honored to serve on the Roybal Center Community Advisory Board."
