About

Dr. Abdullah is an associate professor in the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State and also leads the Wellbeing & Health Innovation lab. His goal is to improve health equity and access for all. He works at the intersection of digital health, human computer interaction, and data science. He is currently working on financial technologies to support marginalized communities, including individuals with bipolar disorder and demential. He is also developing human-centered AT systems for training mental health workers, improving demential care, supporting palliative care, and generating personalized health interventions. When asked why he wanted to be involved with the Roybal Center: "My goal is to improve health equity and access for all. I work at the intersection of digital health, human computer interaction (HCI), and data science."
