Christopher N. Sciamanna, MD

Dr. Sciamanna is a Professor of Medicine and Public Health Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine. He is a general internist with a Masters in Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins who has seen a panel of primary care patients for the past 17 years. He has published over 140 peer-reviewed papers and his research has been federally funded for the past 25 years. His research focuses on the adherence problem – exercise works but few people do it. He and his team do clinical trials of exercise programs that would improve the health and independence of older adults and that older adults would actually do.
